Andrew Pantazi
University of Florida
As a journalist, I hate short bios. If there’s something that deserves space, it’s telling someone’s life story. But alas, concision is key. I have five siblings; two are homeless, one by choice. I transferred to UF in January after being rejected four times. In my first week at UF, I started working as a copy editor, and later I became a staff writer. As a staff writer, I spent three weeks homeless and wrote a story about squatters in Gainesville. I was born for journalism. Telling stories is a religious experience that everyone does, and journalists do it better.
